Observation tower Žalý
The only stone observation tower in the Krkonoše was built in 1892 by Count Jan Harrach. In summer 2012, it underwent extensive renovation worth over 2.2 million Czech korunas. Now you can enjoy the beautiful view of the Krkonoše mountains and their surroundings.
Go on a 5km long trip from the square in Vrchlabí to the highest point in the vicinity – Žalý (1019 m above sea level). Make the way up easier by taking the cableway in Ski Resort Herlíkovice, which runs also in the summer season.
